High-speed internet “in the palm of your hand” – thanks to NEVITEL, a.s.

In the middle of November, Slovak Telekom started the first national operation of 4G network (LTE) in five regional towns, namely Trnava, Nitra, Žilina, Banská Bystrica and Prešov. NEVITEL, a.s. has played a significant role in the development of this state-of-the-art high-speed network.

The company mostly focused on the preparation and technological work needed to achieve this milestone in Trnava and Nitra. Nevitel, a.s. used its long-term experience in the field of telecommunications infrastructure development and contributed to the timely initiation of the above LTE technology in the towns mentioned.

As one of the key suppliers of Slovak Telecom, NEVITEL, a.s. contributed to the preparation and initiation of LTE technology all the way through, from access point acquisition, legislative and engineering activities, up to project implementation. The company has also established base stations in Trnava and Nitra and is currently working on the implementation of this technology for Slovak Telekom in other Slovak towns and cities.

In the coming months we are planning to cover as much as a fifth of the Slovak population and will continue covering other locations in 2014. By establishing of dozens of sites for this multimedia operator that should be completed by the end of this year NEVITEL, a.s. has become an integral part of the progressive transformation of the telecommunications and IT market in Slovakia.
